Wilson Milam directed Doctor Who: Scream of the Shalka, a unique six-part flash-animated webcast released by the BBC in late 2003. It holds a fascinating place in Doctor Who history, as it was originally commissioned and heavily promoted to be the official continuation of the television series.

Beyond his Doctor Who work, Wilson Milam is highly celebrated for directing the fiercely dark comedies of Tracy Letts, including the original acclaimed productions of Killer Joe and Bug. His sharp, intense staging style has made him a sought-after director for edgy modern dramas across major theatrical hubs like Chicago, London's West End, and Broadway.
