Tony Hancock The Goons Show Sid James Bless This House BBC TV Postcard

ABIZRT2  A stunning character undated but modern origin postcard showing this vintage and historic Tony Hancock magazine issue from BBC Television when he was about to go live on television with Sid James capturing this famous cover in all its glory with further details on reverse unused and mint.

The classic 1960 Radio Times cover celebrating Hancock's Half Hour features a brilliant, character-driven photographic portrait of a doleful, weary-looking Tony Hancock alongside an inset picture of his brilliant foil, Sid James. This iconic image captures the legendary comedy duo at the height of their television partnership for the BBC, right before Hancock infamously chose to drop James from his scripts to pursue a different comedic direction. Concentrating entirely on the expressive faces of "the lad himself" and his fast-talking sparring partner, the striking cover art makes this a phenomenal piece of vintage television memorabilia
