To generations of Queensbury residents, Rushworth's was famous for employing half the village's teenagers. It was the absolute go-to spot for paper rounds. For decades, local kids braved Queensbury's notoriously harsh, high-altitude winter weather to deliver papers from the shop. As retail shifted to large, impersonal supermarkets, Rushworth's remained famous for its old school charm Locals fondly remember it as a place where the owners knew everyone by name, asked after their families, and provided proper, traditional counter service.
