Summer Fields School St Leonards On Sea Sussex Billiard Room Old Postcard

zx859  Antique circa 1910 postcard and rarely found interior souvenir of Summer Fields School and its-  large billiard table - you will see the postcard has perfectly captured the reflections landing on the chairs besides the snooker table and there is writing on the blackboard behind where the path then leads to what appears two classrooms.  It is unused and bar very small light places in truly outstanding condition (ex minus to ex).

Summerfields was a boys' preparatory school in the St Leonards-on-Sea area of Hastings, East Sussex. It occupied the buildings previously known as Bohemia House. In 1903 the house was leased by Dr C. H. Williams, headmaster of Summer Fields School, Oxford, and the name was changed accordingly.[2] The school was known as "Summers mi" and during the Second World War was relocated to Summer Fields in Oxford.
