Strand Book Store New York City USA Andy Warhol James Joyce Ulsses Postcard

ABIZTIMYBS10   This is a stunning specialist collectors modern origin real photo postcard of Strand Bookstore in New York  showing its amazing interior from when published unused and mint.

Founded in 1927 by Ben Bass with just $300 of borrowed money, the family-owned behemoth now packs over 2.5 million new, used, and rare volumes into a massive, multi-level flagship store at Broadway and 12th Street. The store’s third-floor Rare Book Room functions as an ultra-exclusive treasure vault guarding museum-grade artifacts—such as a copy of James Joyce's Ulysses signed by Henri Matisse valued at thousands of dollars—where the building's creaking wooden floors have been paced by everyone from Patti Smith to Andy Warhol.
