Santa Cruz Old Earthquake Bookshop Book Store California American Postcard
ABIZTIMYBS04x This is a stunning specialist collectors modern origin real photo postcard of this historic bookshop at Santa Cruz showing its amazing interior from when published unused and mint.
Bookshop Santa Cruz in California is a legendary, multi-generational literary landmark that has served as the cultural "public square" of the seaside city since 1966. When the devastating 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake crippled its historic brick building, the community rallied to donate thousands of books, allowing the shop to defiantly operate out of a large pavilion tent for three years until it could rebuild and today a wooden rocking horse rescued from the 1989 disaster still sits inside as a symbol of resilience
