Robert Irving Royal Ballet Conductor 1940s BBC Official Hand Signed Letter

CHAU4763 A rare opportunity to secure this personally antique BBC official autographed letter from historic ballet conductor Robert Irving who was one of the most famous ballet conductors of the 20th Century. You will never get a better opportunity of his autograph than on BBC headed paper when he was with BBC Scotland from 1945 to 1948.  During this time, he gained vital experience directing live radio broadcasts, classical concertos, and dramatic scores. This role serves as a crucial milestone in his career, directly paving the way for him to be scouted and appointed as the Musical Director of the prestigious Sadler's Wells (Royal) Ballet in 1949 . The letter was sent to a military major who had sent Robert Irving some of his private works and rearrangements to see if he would consider using them at the BBC which this is his response dated 16th June 1948 and personally autographed by Robert Irving in mint condition.
