Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Medal Award MOD Hand Signed Letter

CHAU3349  An original vintage 1977 letter sent to Dr Elston Grey Turner to notify him he had been chosen to be given a Silver Jubilee Medal award by Queen Elizabeth II - The letter tells Dr Elston Grey Turner his Queen's medal will be with him by registered post on 8th June 1977.  How many other historic Queen Elizabeth private award letters like this will you ever secure again.  Folder where posted and some left border places (and lesser places to allow also on right side) otherwise very good condition (vg-/vg grading).  The signature of the sender being a Lieutenant General and the Queen's assistant for the award could be highly collectible too.

This came from the private collection from the estate of Doctor Elston Grey-Turner CBE MC TD (16 August 1916 20 January 1984) who was a British medical doctor who served in World War II and was on the staff of the British Medical Association for many years. He joined the Royal Army Medical Corps and served as regimental medical officer to the 2nd Battalion of the Coldstream Guards 19421945. He was awarded the Territorial Decoration, and also the Military Cross.
