CHAU4980  A rare vintage Christmas card from historic French Gaullist politician Philippe Guilhaume famous for his involvement in TV stations Antenne 2 and FR3 and the scandal that resulted (see below) . He has personally signed the card inside and please note he had the Christmas card inside greetings area specially printed with his private home address on the printed paper he would send to other leading politicians - the inner signing is loose but was never attached so just as it was originally - It is personally autographed and in outstanding condition.   He passed away some 30 years ago so a very rare signature to find and you will never get better COA than his headed home paper.

Philippe Guilhaume (1942–1994) was a prominent French high-ranking civil servant, political adviser, and public television executive whose career intersected closely with top-tier French politics during the 1980s. He is best known for his highly publicised, turbulent tenure as the joint CEO of the national public television networks, Antenne 2 and FR3, and his political ties to prominent right-wing figures.

In August 1989, France's broadcasting authority (the CSA) unexpectedly appointed Guilhaume as the combined head of public television channels Antenne 2 and FR3. His time in office lasted just over a year and was defined by intense political and media storms. He famously cancelled several flagship television shows, which prompted prominent host Michel Drucker to leave the public network for the private channel TF1.
