TS450  A rare opportunity to secure this 1977 origin specialist German first day cover of this Philipp Otto Runge allegorical masterpiece accompanied by the special souvenir stamp with its first day of issue limited edition commemorative frank and information on reverse unused and mint.

The cultural and artistic significance of this piece lies in its presentation of "Die Genien auf der Lichtlilie" (Genii on the Lily of Light), a seminal draft from 1809 for Philipp Otto Runge's monumental "Times of Day" series. This intricate pencil and chalk design beautifully showcases the German Romantic master's deeply mystical color theory, utilizing ethereal winged spirits and floral geometry to explore the cosmic relationship between divine light, human souls, and natural cycles.
