Paul Picerni was a versatile American character actor and decorated World War II bomber pilot who brought a disciplined, commanding presence to Hollywood for over four decades. His most defining television role came in 1960 when he joined ABC's hit crime drama The Untouchables as Federal Agent Lee Hobson, serving as the dependable second-in-command to Robert Stack's Eliot Ness for over 90 episodes.

Beyond this career-defining performance, Picerni built an extensive small-screen legacy by guest-starring on some of the biggest television shows of the era. According to his career retrospective on the Television Academy, his memorable television work included prominent guest spots on iconic series such as Dragnet, Batman, Gunsmoke, Kojak, Perry Mason, and Starsky & Hutch.
