CHAU4771 A rare opportunity to secure this letter from Mansel Thomas who was one of the most important BBC composers and conductors from the 1940s on this antique 1948 letter specially typed sent on headed BBC paper by his secretary to a music lover who had sent Mansel Thomas scores to consider of his private compositions and which Mansel has responded to confirm he will consider them.  It is hand signed by his personal secretary and bar folded once where posted is absolute mint condition.

Mansel Thomas (1909–1986) was one of the most important and influential Welsh composers, conductors, and music administrators of the 20th century. He had a long, highly distinguished career with the BBC in Wales. As a composer, Mansel Thomas wrote over 400 pieces, specializing heavily in vocal, choral, brass band, and chamber music. Much of his work was directly inspired by traditional Welsh folk songs and poetry.
