Major Percy PSG O'Donnell BBC Military WW2 War Radio Hand Signed Postcard

TS71 Antique 1941 wartime official BBC postcard sent from the studios by Major PSG O'Donnell to another military musician whose former collection of BBC letters I am selling.  He wrote to PSG O'Donnell detailing his private works he would like the famous war broadcaster to include with his orchestra on his show and which PSG O'Donnell has responded including one in his Home Services Broadcast.  It is onthe BBC headed paper card and his hand signature for lifetime COA. Its lightly aged and front is with the 1941 wartime postmark to accompany - overall it is in great condition.

Major Percy Silva George O'Donnell (often known as P.S.G. O’Donnell) was a highly distinguished British military musician and conductor who played a prominent role in BBC wartime radio broadcasts during World War II, and was a defining figure in the golden era of British military band broadcasting.

Conductor Role - P.S.G. O’Donnell took over conducting duties for the band following his brother Walton. He regularly led their live performances over the airwaves.

Wartime Morale - During the early years of World War II, O'Donnell and the BBC Military Band provided essential, uplifting entertainment to sustain public morale on the home front and was one of the leading BBC bands of the war era.
