Lord Londonderry 1936 Oxford Anti Nazi Speech Hand Signed Whitehall Old Letter

CHAU4761  I have spent hours researching this letter and the signature and I cannot find out who in Whitehall has sent this letter to Lord Londonderry dated 31st October 1936 - Suggestions from AI include Neville Chamberlain and even Winston Churchill, and whilst the signature has been hurried so merged, I cant work out the letters to trace this back.  I have however found the speech being referred to in the letter was potentially linked to a Nazi Speech linked with Lord Londonderry and Winston Churchill and it reads.. Knowing the weight that a speech by a former British Air Minister would carry at the Union in 1936, Churchill would have wrote to strongly urge Londonderry not to act as an apologist for the Nazi regime. Despite the warning, Londonderry moved forward with his pro-appeasement speech and later published his correspondence from this period in his 1938 book, Ourselves and Germany...".   It is with ageing - an long indent down the letter on the more left side and some milder places to allow - the ageing includes browned edges and overall I can only graded fair plus to good minus.   Please be aware as the scans will highlight these further.  But it has the official headed paper from Whitehall and the Watermark to upper left corner (this needs enlarging for the scan as it may not stand out but it is about 1.5cms diameter and represents the ultimate in headed paper authenticity).   In summary it is potentially a highly valuable antique letter and piece of history linked to a historic anti Nazi speech but you are buying as per the above.
