"... Philip Deignan (born 7 September 1983) is an Irish former professional road racing cyclist who competed at the highest level from 2005 to 2018. Born in Letterkenny, County Donegal, Deignan turned professional with the French team AG2R La Mondiale in 2005 and went on to ride for several prominent squads, including CervÔøΩlo TestTeam, RadioShack, UnitedHealthcare Pro Cycling Team, and Team Sky. Over his 14-year career, he participated in 10 Grand Tours, establishing himself as a reliable domestique, particularly during his five seasons with Team Sky starting in 2014, where he became the first Irish rider on the team.
