CHAU4771 A rare opportunity to secure the autograph of famous composer and musician Leslie Bridgewater on this antique 1942 wartime letter specially typed sent on headed BBC paper to a Major writing for information about his compositions he had forwarded to Leslie Bridgewater to be played by his orchestra.  It has been hand signed by Leslie Bridgewater and bar one light fold where originally posted is absolutely mint condition. The BBC Salon Orchestra: From 1939 to 1942, he founded and conducted this ensemble, which provided comforting, high-quality music broadcasts during the darkest days of World War II. 

The Leslie Bridgewater Quintet: He famously led this piano-and-strings group, playing the piano himself. He used the platform to resurrect and arrange rarely heard 18th-century classical pieces.

Interlude Features: His light composition Prunella became famous across the UK as the background music for the BBC's iconic vintage television interlude film, The Kitten

Beyond his studio broadcasting, Bridgewater was a highly sought-after director and composer for stage and screen.
