"...Joshua Thomas Edmondson  is a British road racing cyclist, who most recently rode for British amateur team Crimson Orientation Marketing RT. Earlier in his career, Edmondson rode for UCI World Tour squad Team Sky in 2013 and 2014. He earned his Sky contract by impressing in the 2012 Tour of Britain going on the attack in the race's queen stage. He is a climber and was seen as a possible future prospect in Grand Tours. After two seasons with Sky his contract was not renewed at the end of 2014. In March 2015 he announced that we would join An PostChain Reaction for the remainder of the 2015 season.After leaving Sky, Edmondson raced for continental teams An PostChainreaction in 2015 and NFTO Pro Cycling in 2016, rebuilding momentum with his 2015 successes before ending his professional career after the 2016 season without securing a further contract, amid ongoing career challenges.   In 2017, he publicly admitted to breaching Team Sky's internal "no-needle" policy during his tenure there by self-administering vitamin injections and misusing the painkiller Tramadol, accusing the team of covering it up; this led to an investigation by the UCI and UK Anti-Doping, though no formal sanctions were detailed against him.
