CHAU1853 A vintage 9" x 7" hand signed letter from Joan Savage historic actress with all the contents of the letter written by hand  personally autographed folder twice where originally posted and slight imperfections otherwise great condition so overall very good grading to ex minus. She made numerous guest appearances on television variety programs and alongside prominent comedians. Savage appeared in nine episodes of The Black and White Minstrel Show as a performer between 1964 and 1965.  She also featured alongside Leslie Crowther, Tommy Cooper, Bob Monkhouse, and Les Dawson in various capacities. In 1972, she guest-starred as a musical performer in one episode of Les Dawson's series Sez Les. 

In 1972, she guest-starred in the BBC sitcom Dad's Army, appearing in the episode "A Soldier’s Farewell" as Greta Garbo recreating the role of Marie Walewska from the 1937 film Conquest. This occurred within Captain Mainwaring's dream sequence fantasy where he imagines himself as Napoleon, and her casting drew directly on her established reputation for Garbo impersonations.
