"...Scott Davies is a Welsh former professional road racing cyclist from Carmarthen who rose to prominence as a junior and under-23 rider before competing in the WorldTour from 2018 until his retirement in 2021. He turned professional in 2013 at the age of 17, signing as a neo-pro with the continental Team USN, a British squad focused on developing young talent. His debut season emphasized adaptation to the demands of professional racing, including structured training and team dynamics, though specific road results from this period were limited as he balanced road and track events.This early exposure helped build his resilience, marking a significant step up from junior competition despite the challenges of entering the pro peloton at such a young age. In 2014, Davies joined Madison Genesis, a UCI Continental team, where he quickly established himself by winning the British Under-23 National Time Trial Championship in a time of 27 minutes and 45 seconds, defeating competitors like Owain Doull.  That year, he also achieved a 10th-place finish in the Commonwealth Games road race, racing alongside elite figures like Geraint Thomas, which boosted his confidence amid the intensity of international fields.
