Gerard Kelly was an incredibly popular fixture on British and Scottish television during the 1990s. He starred as Willie Melvin in the hit BBC comedy series City Lights (which ran until 1991) and went on to appear in major 90s shows like the acclaimed drama Chancer, Rab C. Nesbitt, and the comedy-drama Hamish Macbeth. Later on, he also made a memorable guest appearance alongside Ricky Gervais in the hit comedy Extras.
