In the acclaimed 1979 BBC miniseries adaptation of Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, Frank Moorey portrayed Lauder Strickland, a rigid and highly bureaucratic administrator at the Circus in early pivotal early episodes from the show which he effectively embodies the clinical new regime of internal oversight and strict policy that clashes with the agency's old guard. His performance stands as a memorable contribution to a landmark espionage drama.
