Edward Vowles BBC Radio James Watt Steam Train 1940s Hand Signed Letter

CHAU4763 A rare opportunity to secure the autograph of Edward H Vowles on this antique 1949 letter specially typed sent on headed BBC paper for music by a military musician sending their private music in for BBC use and their consideration.  It is personally written typed and hand signed by H Vowles with a few places to allow (staple mark and top left corner small fold it is in very good (and mostly otherwise great) condition.  It is centrally folded when originally posted which is how I will send. "H. Vowles (Edward H. Vowles) was a British broadcasting administrator who served as a Senior Administrative Assistant in the BBC Music Department during the 1940s. He was a key behind-the-scenes figure who managed correspondence with contemporary British composers and musicians on behalf of the corporation. Beyond his work as a BBC administrator, H. Vowles was also a recognized technical writer and historian. Co-authoring with H.W. Dickson, he published the historical biography James Watt and the Industrial Revolution in 1945, which detailed the development of the steam engine"
