John Bluthal (1929–2018) was a Polish-born British-Australian comic character actor whose career spanned over six decades. He became a staple of British comedy, widely recognized for his long-running partnerships with Spike Milligan and his unforgettable roles in classic television sitcoms. His most famous role was in The Vicar Of Dibley as Frank Pickle as the fastidious, incredibly pedantic, and eccentric church parish council secretary who was famously dubbed "The World's Most Boring Man". He starred alongside Spike Milligan in Q5 to Q9 as a core, central member of the repertory cast across Spike Milligan's groundbreaking, surreal BBC sketch comedy series—and There's a Lot of It About.
