"... Awarded an MBE in 2009 and an OBE in 2017 for services to cycling, three-time Olympic gold medallist Ed Clancy needs no introduction. Clancy is one of Team GBs most decorated Olympians, with four games medals. Making his fourth appearance at the games, Clancy was part of the team pursuit quartets that won gold at Beijing 2008, London 2012 and Rio 2016 for Team GB.

He also picked up a bronze medal at London 2012 in the omnium. In his time racing for Team GB, he has been a part of setting seven world records in the team pursuit. Alongside his Olympic honours, Clancy has also won multiple European and world championship medals. An unfortunate injury put an end to the Barnsley-born riders Olympic cycling career at Tokyo 2020, forcing him into retirement mid games.
