Die Wildecker Herzbuben is a highly successful German music duo who became a major household name across Europe through their contributions to traditional Volksmusik and catchy Schlager pop. Formed in 1989 by friends Wolfgang Schwalm and Wilfried Gliem, the group achieved immediate cultural stardom with their massive 1990 breakout hit song "Herzilein". They remain instantly recognizable across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland for their cheerful, robust appearances and for regularly performing in vibrant, traditional alpine costumes.
