Commander M.S.Tennant Military HMS Alderney Ship LTD TO 19 Hand Signed FDC

STB036  A vintage 40 years ago Peace In Europe anniversary FDC hand signed by Commander M.S.Tennant of the HMS Alderney ship (see below) who has personally autographed the souvenir where his signature rests perfectly below the first day cover commemorative stamps and is in mint condition.  This autographed series was limited to only 50 for worldwide distribution and is numbered 11 from the series of 19 on reverse (see image 2).

"...Commander M. S. Tennant was a Royal Navy officer who served as the Commanding Officer (CO) of the Island-class patrol vessel HMS Alderney which was a Royal Navy Island-class patrol vessel built in Aberdeen and commissioned in 1979. Named after the island of Alderney, the ship's primary duties during Commander Tennant's era in the mid-1980s included fishery protection, coastal patrol, and maritime security around the UK and Channel Islands.."
