Clyde J Miller & Wife Cowboy Their Trained Horses Old Real Photo Postcard

AN4 Antique postcard circa 1910 and is called Mr & Mrs Clyde Miller & Their Trained Horses unused with small corner fraying, slight edge place, and lightly aged but otherwise outstanding condition with real character too (ex minus grading and real photographic).

Clyde S. Miller was born in Waterloo, Iowa, in July of 1898. He entered the rodeo business in 1928 with a variety of Wild West Show specialty acts that featured schooled, gaited and jumping horses. Miller produced his first rodeo at Waterloo in 1932, and he remained in the business for another two decades.

Clyde Miller’s rodeos presented a balanced mix of colorful, crowd-pleasing acts that augmented the competitive events. His white horse quadrille, jumping horses, and juvenile trick riders and trick ropers enlivened venues throughout the Midwest. The Clyde S. Miller Rodeo also provided an important starting place for many aspiring rodeo hands during the 1930s and 1940s. Among them were Kid Fletcher, Ken Roberts, Gerald Roberts, Charlie Beals, Jimmy Schumacher, Larry Finley and J.W. Stoker.

Clyde Miller retired from the rodeo business in 1952 and farmed and ranched during his later years. He passed from the arena in 1974
