Armchair Books Edinburgh Old Victorian Book Shop Scottish Store Postcard
ABIZTIMYBS02x This is a stunning specialist collectors modern origin real photo postcard of Armchair Books in Edinburgh famous for its amazing smell of aging paper, dust, and yellowing pages with the souvenir showing its amazing character entrance from when published unused and mint.
The shop’s maze of narrow corridors is lined with overburdened, floor-to-ceiling shelves that literally groan beneath the weight of thousands of rare, second-hand, and 19th-century illustrated volumes. Visitors navigate the creaky wooden floors and threadbare rugs to a background track of vintage music, assisted by an expertly witty staff renowned for tracking down obscure titles based on vague descriptions like "that blue book with the gold writing".
