Wren started acting when she was talent spotted by Disney UK at the age of 16. She was then engaged for Disneys comedy sketch show Life Bites, playing the lead role as Chloe.She moved onto working with Nickelodeon in Genie In The House and Summer in Transylvania. In 2010 she appeared in Andrea Arnold's film adaptation of Emily BrontÔøΩs novel Wuthering Heights, in which she played Frances Earnshaw In 2016 she played Lady Evelyn Herbert in Guy Burt's TV mini-series Tutankhamun which is the story of the archeologist Howard Carter, who discovered the tomb of Tutankhamun.

Life Bites is a British adaptation of the Italian series Life Bites Italy which premiered on 6 September 2008. The show series looks at the everyday adventures of Chloe and Harvey, who are brother and sister and their relationships with family and friends. Each episode looks at variety of themes including school, dating, sport and music. The school which they attend is filmed at Brentside High School in Hanwell, West London. The first season premiered on 6 September 2008 and has 16 episodes; the second season started in July 2009 and has 12 episodes, including a Halloween special and a Christmas special.
