Tic Elizabeth Moynihan 4x Hand Signed Irish Theatre Flyer

CHAU1504  A superb collectors Irish souvenir of this personally signed flyer of Tic by Elizabeth Moynihan hand signed by FOUR of the cast and whilst a little border to allow this is otherwise great condition (vg overall) and all the autographs are undedicated too.

Moynihans writing is elegant. Indeed, she aligns herself with the Focus tradition of articulate, issue-driven costume drama. Her language shows a genuine struggle to define the black dogs that have destroyed the womans peace of mind: I am so tired I wear myself out. In the action and in a programme note we are invited to draw parallels with Rapunzel, the beauty confined to the tower, awaiting her prince. But Ibsen its not, nor Strindberg. Making it full length there was a previous one-act version raises problems: a long-drawn scene between doctor and husband; an expendable interval; inevitable tic-fatigue. One senses an absence of dramaturgy, which might have brought more focus (no pun intended) to Moynihan's themes.
