Robert C Gallo Historic AIDS HIV Professor Virologist Hand Signed Letter

CHAU2154  This is a vintage large 10" x 8" official hand signed letter on headed paper for Robert C Gallo best known for his role in establishing the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) as the infectious agent responsible for acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS) and in the development of the HIV blood test. Gallo was the most cited scientist in the world from 1980 to 1990, according to the Institute for Scientific Information, and he was ranked third in the world for scientific impact for the period 19832002. He has published over 1300 papers. This was part of a collection from a medical student in the 1970s and 80s writing to historic doctors and surgeons discussing their research and gathering their autographs. It is folded twice where posted (which is how I will send) otherwise is in mint condition. You will never get a better autograph opportunity than on Gallo's headed paper from his own Maryland Virology Centre..
