Yakuza In Tokyo Japan Crime Fear Violence Award Photo Postcard

MG This undated but modern origin real photo postcard and I believe an award winner from when the photo taken which was back in 1998 showing what are apparently Yakuza in Taito Tokyo Asakusa with the gangster lighting the mans cigarette who is trembling in fear. Research on the web shows this photographer wanted to dig deeper to find people who were both physical and intense and who, in one way or another, stood out from the crowd. The internet also states how he presents another side to the traditional and often stereotypical view of Japanese society, one where not everything is high technology, and where poverty is rife. All of his photos wereshot in Tokyo and Osaka and reveal how violence and hardship weave through many aspects of daily existence in these two sprawling cities which reverse details the photographer and date, location etc unused and prestine condition
