Scotland Post War Slum Child Poverty Town Overcrowding Gorbals Photo Postcard

news12 This is a totally unique undated but appears 35 years ago origin postcard by award winning photographer Bert Hardy famous for capturing poverty of a real photo souvenir of Glasgow Gorbal Children from the 1940s showing the horrific living conditions they were bought up in.  Around 40,000 people were packed into the neighborhood, with up to eight family members frequently sharing a single room. This souvenir from 1948 shows the poverty, in which 40 people would have to share a toilet and there was no tap drinking water. It was sourced by a collector of some of the most historic photo manipulation art works & famous groundbreaking news award winning photographs in history (see his full collection he sourced being sold at my store) which this particular postcard was from an exhibition at the Barbican in London as a souvenir for visitors who had travelled to see the photo on display and is unused and mint.
