CHAU1855  Antique 1950s hand signed letter from Chinese historic actress Lian Shin Yang who  was a multi-talented Chinese-English actress, soprano, and pianist who worked in British film and television during the 1950s and 1960s whose career was tragically cut short when she passed away in Chelsea, London, in 1970 at just 38 years old. She is best known from Captain Scarlett Fans as being the voice of Harmony Angel. This is on her official headed paper and even includes her private phone number of the era, to a TV Times former editor (whose collection I am selling) . Cult classic sci-fi fans know her best for her work with Gerry Anderson's Century 21 productions. She provided the original voice for the character Harmony Angel in the pilot-focused episode "The Launching".

She guest-starred alongside Patrick McGoohan as the character Miss Shoo in the classic espionage episode "The Journey Ends Halfway".  Beyond acting, she was an accomplished soprano. She famously performed ancient traditional love songs at high-profile events in London, such as the China Society's New Year parties. She was incredibly fluent in English and French, and could speak four to five different Chinese dialects.
