CHAU4759  A truly rare opportunity to own a fully hand written and signed letter from the Father of David McCallum whose son was to soon become a legendary actor in the BBC as Man From Uncle - Both men worked closely with the BBC in the 1940s, each establishing a unique legacy over the airwaves. David McCallum Senior (which this is his souvenir) was an exceptionally gifted Scottish violinist who served as the principal first violinist (leader) for several of the world's most elite orchestras, including the London Philharmonic Orchestra. During World War II and the subsequent 1940s rebuild, McCallum Sr. performed heavily across BBC networks. He was a core player for the BBC's Overseas Music Unit and the London Studio Players, ensuring live classical and light music reached citizens and troops globally. This letter is fully hand written by him to a military major who had sent him his private music compositions to view playing with his orchestra during the war on the BBC and this is his reply.  It is signed and you will never get a better lifetime COA than his letter on his original headed BBC paper, and whilst you will find his son's autograph, David McCallum Snr is a really sought after signing for Man From Uncle and NCIS completist fans worldwide.
