Page) served as the primary, spare-time caretakers for a flock of 15 to 20 hens managed entirely by the BBC Registry staff. As the BBC shifted its operations and bases around the country to evade German bombing raids, Miss Williams and the registry team diligently transported the mobile poultry coop with them.
