Miller was born in Waterloo, Iowa, in July of 1898. He entered the rodeo business in 1928 with a variety of Wild West Show specialty acts that featured schooled, gaited and jumping horses. Miller produced his first rodeo at Waterloo in 1932, and he remained in the business for another two decades.\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp align=\"left\"\u003e\u003cem\u003eClyde Miller’s rodeos presented a balanced mix of colorful, crowd-pleasing acts that augmented the competitive events. His white horse quadrille, jumping horses, and juvenile trick riders and trick ropers enlivened venues throughout the Midwest. The Clyde S. Miller Rodeo also provided an important starting place for many aspiring rodeo hands during the 1930s and 1940s. Among them were Kid Fletcher, Ken Roberts, Gerald Roberts, Charlie Beals, Jimmy Schumacher, Larry Finley and J.W.
