Up to 10 family members played together in the Red Rose Orchestra which was active at the start of the 20th Century. They were a popular attraction in resorts like Bath, Folkestone and the Isle of Wight, and their appearances in Ireland (Belfast, Downpatrick, Newcastle) received very favourable reports. Madame Manton-Myatt was the pianist, while the violins were mostly played by the lady members. Milly (b.1882) had a fine soprano voice, Charles (b.1885) was a drummer, and Herbert (b.1881, home address 17 Bolton Gardens, Teddington), played the bass.
