Gerald Ciolek (born 19 September 1986) is a German former professional road bicycle racer who competed at the highest level from 2005 to 2016, achieving prominence as a sprinter and classics specialist. Born in Cologne, Germany, Ciolek began his professional career with the AKUD Arnolds Sicherheit continental team in 2005, quickly rising to fame by winning the German National Road Race Championship that year as a 19-year-old neo-professional.  In 2006, he claimed the UCI Road World Championships title in the under-23 category, securing a contract with the T-Mobile Team for the following season. Throughout his career, Ciolek rode for prominent teams including T-Mobile (2007), Team Columbia (2008), Team Milram (20092010), Omega Pharma-Quick Step (20112012), and MTN-Qhubeka (20132015), amassing 24 professional victories.
